Every year, I always swear that the next year I’ll make an effort for Halloween. Every year, I fail. Miserably. Halloween is probably my least favorite holiday because I don’t like to be scared and people like to do A LOT of scaring on Halloween.
But I LOVE getting dressed and I should love this holiday, right? I just don’t. That’s all there is to it.
So, there was this event this past weekend and, of course, people came in costumes because it’s Halloween. I dress as myself because it’s Halloween. For the entire party, people were trying to guess my “costume”.
I was The American Horror Story (which I’ve never heard of let alone watched), DeJ Loaf (I’ve been told that we look alike) and Janelle Monáe I’m guessing because I was wearing black and white. I was none of the above but I just went with it.
I’m learning to pick my battles.
